I'm sure a lot of you are aware of my on going affair with skater dresses but what you're not aware of, is the fact that I'm currently cheating on them. And this dress is where it all started. I have a pear shaped body and I always thought that a shift dress is not made for me. But I was wrong. The shift dress which hangs straight down from your shoulders, flatters almost every body type. It skims your body nicely but does not cling. Sleeveless shift dresses are even more versatile as you can add a shirt or t-shirt underneath them to change up the look. I like wearing shift dresses as they are easy to throw on for a casual day but can look formal enough for meetings too. I love how the geometric print on the dress refrains it from being just a normal black dress. The coral and blue hints give it a fresh feel. I added some simple two tone heels and a structured black satchel to finish off the look. I also carry these super chic snake print sandals in my bag because when it starts pouring, I really can't do in heels. Plus, I love the clash of print! So don't be scared to play up a little and be experimental with your style. You never know when you'll stumble upon your new favourite.
