Guest post and more.

Check out the guest post i did for the gorgeous Anushka from Bombay Bubble, here.

Can I tell you guys something? I cant wait for this month to begin, because I'm really excited for the first week of April(you will soon know why) and then I cant wait for this month to end because at the end of this month I will be done with my dreadful exams and will breathe free again. Woot woot. Can't wait.

So all of you who follow me on my Facebook Fan page know that I posted about Sapphire's one year anniversary event. Well, that was one exciting day. I did  manage to take some time off and visit the store because I was super excited about the entire event. I even got a few goodies from them for which I would like to thank them! THANK YOU Divya And Dipika! :D I hope a few of you made it to the event, if not do visit them when you get a chance to. I did manage to take a few pictures which I'm attaching now.

Such beautiful pieces!

The gorgeous duo! ( Dipika is wearing a skirt from Sapphire  & Divya's top and jacket are by Sapphire too)

These were yummilicious!

This is sadly the only picture of me from the event, and even though its not at all flattering I thought I'd show you what I wore anyway. So what did I wear? I wore my black jeggings from Only, a red shirt from Zara, My new tan shoes from Zara and my animal print bag from Aldo. I wanted to carry my animal print bag and so i kept the rest of the outfit very subtle.

For all my viewers who are ardent cricket fans like me, i am stoked about Saturday! For those who don't know whats happening, India made it to the cricket World Cup Final!! Yay! I am definitely watching the match with my friends, wearing blue and cheering on until I lose my voice which btw I've lost already due to yesterday's madness. Anyway I hope all of you have a super weekend, and goodluck to all of you who have exam pressure like me and to everyone else who have pressures en general.

Love,

Pearls & bows.

Hey all you lovely people! I have so much to talk about but I wont get into all of it right now. One thing at a time. So to begin with I had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with a store here in Mumbai called Sapphire. It's owned by two gorgeous sisters Dipika and Divya Israni. When they contacted me I wasn't too sure if I wanted to go ahead with this. But when we got into a more detailed conversation and I saw the stuff from their store I instantly feel in love with most of the pieces! Their collection is very feminine and its a perfect one stop shop place for all the women! Their jewellery has got to be my favourite part! Its not only very different but its adorable and so versatile! Its a perfect blend of elegance and style. Love it! You'l be seeing alot of their pieces tuned into my outfits!

Now on to my look. I have been loving Nudes and Peaches since the past 2 weeks. They make me feel light and comfortable.I initially thought of pairing this peach-ish tank top with a pair of ripped blue jeans but then i decided to go a little out of the box with this black and white piece keeping the retro trend in mind. I hope you guys like the pictures!

*Inspiration is a Must-have*

Ive heard this way too many times, that women get inspired too easily. I know its a good thing for me, because it pushes me further to do better. However some people take it too literally. By inspiration I dont mean 'copy'. Inspiration would mean to go beyond what you see and what manages to create waves in your mind. No?

Anyway, so I have kind off been obsessed with Blake Lively. Not only is she fabulous on Gossip Girl ,which is by the way my favorite show. Go ahead and sigh if you want to, but I love it. She amazes me every time she is photographed. She is gorgeous, beyond beautiful, stunning and I absolutely love her style and relate to it. From couture dresses to her Chanel's to her Louboutin's , she can never go wrong. I know what you're thinking, how can anyone go wrong with all of that in their closets? Trust me, shit happens. Anyway so Ive been kind of busy with preparing for final exams and havnt been able to do an outfit post so I thought why not leave you with pictures of  what inspires my outfits.

Before i sign off, are these the new most coveted shoes?

I hope you guys are having a good week. Much love.

Summer's Here!

#1 Shorts- Shorts are a girls best friend during summer. Not only are they super comfortable but they go well with the dreadful heat. A denim pair for the day and a colourful high waisted one for the night would be must haves! Team them with your favourite t-shirts or tanks and you're ready to go!

#2 Floral Dress- Every girl must own a floral dress. One dress can be worn in a number of ways. During the day, team the dress with flat tan gladiators or brogues with cute earrings and a sling bag and to dress up the same dress for the night, team it with your favorite blazer and load on some chunky accessories and heels! You wouldn't believe how wonderfully one dress can work!

#3 Sunglasses- You need these all round the year, but during summer you've got to have one in your bag all the time! Choose a frame that suits your face. Sunglasses always make you feel glamorous, no?

#4 Gold & Bright Accessories- Gold accessories usually go well with all colors and hues! Mix your gold jewellery with bright ones and create a magical look. Go from simple necklaces and small earrings for the day to statement necklaces and chunky cuffs and bangles for the night!

#5 Brogues & Bright shoes- Brogues are a good way of doing away with the usual flip flops! They are comfortable and stylish! Brogues in a tan colour, could last you an entire summer and you wont have to think of wearing anything else as it would go with every outfit you think of! Bright coloured shoes are also a big rage for summer. Blues, reds, pinks, greens, they are an amazing way to add color to your outfit and also to make you stand out! So dig into your closets and get them out for these next few months!

#6 Sling bags- Sling bags are easy to carry around. Tan colours, deep reds and oranges are the best colours to choose from! Choose from a big one to a small one according to the need of the hour! For me a big bag is must have because i have to carry a few things compulsorily in my bag during summer -A bottle of water, perfume, sunglasses!

#7 Pink Makeup- Bright pink nailpolish and soft pink lips would be my go-to this summer! I love Autumn Rose from Colorbar as its the most perfect summery pink for the nails! For  lips as of now, maybelline's Pink Petal  and Mac's viva glam gaga are my favorite!

#8 High waisted skirts- These are the pieces you could play around with the most! Choose a style which highlights your best features and team it with anything from a t-shirt or tank for a casual look to button up tops and shirts for a more formal look. Team them with belts to accentuate your waist. Switch from flats to heels depending on where you're headed! Ive got mine in Electric Blue, have you found yours yet?

#9 White shirts and Tanks- These 2 things are basics!! A white cotton shirt is a compulsory piece in your wardrobe. Pair it with jeans or shorts or skirts and it will give you the best outfit! White as a color will also help you stay calm and cool during those hot days!

Stock up on tank tops in every color possible!! You could team them with your favorite shorts, jeans or skirts and create a different look every day! Tank tops are also easy to accessorise, so go ahead and test your styling skills!

#10 Sunscreen- This is something you shouldn't step out of your house without! As important as it is for your outfit to look great, protecting your skin is of utmost importance! Hydrate yourself and workout to put forward your best toned summer self!! :)

I  know it may be too early for Summer Must Haves for some of you! But where I live its getting hotter by the day! Anyway keep these in mind, when you go shopping next! Hope this helps! Tell me your summer must haves! Maybe i missed out on something!  Have a good day!

Color Blocking?

Hello there! Its the weekend again! I sometimes feel like the entire week just flies! Anyway, so Ive been trying to do regular outfit posts because I know most of the viewers like looking at outfits! Personally I love looking at outfits myself, browsing through blogs, having a look at  perspectives of individual styles. I have done a post on a few of my favorite bloggers, have a look at them if you want here.

So i more often than not play super safe with my bottoms. But i went to Zara 2 days back, and i got the most amazing deals ever! I have being wanting to try these particular pants but I didn't want to invest too much in them because I know I'd use them very rarely. So this time when they were selling at the price of peanuts, I had to pick them up! And i did! And may i add, i think il use them more often than i thought i would. Zara's summer collection is mind boggling. The vibrant colours work as therapy. Feeling sad one of the days? Enter Zara. It might just help! Anyway so now on to the outfit i put together! :)

Before that just a few colour combinations off the top of my head that I think could give you the attention you need- red&pink; yellow&green; purple&pink; orange&red; blue&yellow; purple&yellow.

I like LOVE these shoes.

Besides that I hope you guys are having a good weekend! Im working on a Summer Must-haves post, so look out for that! Until next time!

Orange-y.

Hey You! I'm quite excited. I was one  of the three Style Icons declared on Stylepile for this last month. Yay!! :) Do visit Stylepile, its a good dose of fashion!

Okay I don’t know if you guys have noticed yet, but black is my go to colour. It’s not like I don’t like other colours, but I somehow do end up incorporating black as one of the things in my outfit! Habit? Well I am going to try and get rid of it. Black is definitely not my favourite colour, it’s a habit colour. Do you guys have a ‘habit’ colour too?

Anyway so I got this jacket recently, and I don’t mean to brag but very seldom do i tend to repeat clothes, but I’ve owned this jacket for about 2 weeks now and I’ve worn it thrice, already! I love everything about it, the colour, the gold buttons, the shoulder padding, nothing’s wrong about it! I wore it with a dress once and twice the way I have in the pictures but with different shoes! It incorporates the nautical trend along with the current hot colour, Orange. It’s always good to have a piece like this one to add the burst of colour to a monotone outfit.

Just a few things I’d like to mention -

  • When buying orange, choose a tone according to your skin colour. Brighter hues would look better on fairer skins and warmer hues with darker. So always keep that in mind. Colours can do great things for you but if not worn in account to your skin, they could bring out your worse.

  • When buying stripes, keep your body type in mind. Vertical stripes can make you look broader, so if you are on the heavier side, avoid vertical stripes and go for horizontal ones. On the other hand horizontal stripes can make you look taller.

  • When using one bright piece, try keeping the others neutral. This will not only make the outfit look balanced but will also let that one piece grab all the attention.

  • Cropped jackets are a good way to substitute blazers on warmer days!
