.Eye Makeup. (2)

This weeks look is for the day time. This is a very simple yet one of those looks that you can wear anywhere. You can use this eye look for any formal event during the day. You don't ever want to be too harsh with your make up during the day. Keep it subtle yet alluring. This bronze look will add to your beauty and lighten up your eyes. Follow the steps to achieve it! :)

1. Like the last time, wash face with your favorite face wash or using a make up remover get rid of all the dirt/oil or any other make up worn before.

2. Apply your foundation or primer as a base.

3. Apply a bronze base . We used the maybelline dream mousse as a base. This will brighten the bronze eye shadow and left it last longer and prevent it from fading quickly.

4. Next apply any bronzy eye shadow colour all over the lid. Again follow your natural eye shape and avoid going too high. Also apply a light champagne color in the inner tear ducts of your eye. This will make your eyes look brighter. Use a matte white shadow or a white eyeliner pencil as the highlight under your eyebrows.

5. Now add a matte chocolate brown color into the crease. Using a blending brush blend it inwards. Keep the brown color darker on the outside and blend your way in. Make sure the blend the two colors well to avoid a stark line.

6. To finish the look add some Kohl to your eyes and after curling your eyelashes, use 2 coats of any mascara of your choice. It would be better if you could use a brown mascara as that would help you eliminate the harshness. And there you are! Transformed!

Foundation(base)- L'oreal, kohl- Clinique's Quickliner in Really Black, Mascara -The Body Shop"s Super Volume , Bronze Base- Maybellibe dream mousse in Glistening Sun, Bronze and Champagne color - Forever21's bronze-on-the-go pallete, Highlight-NYX's  jumbo pencil in Milk

Hope you guys enjoyed this post. Try this look and tell us how you like it. :)

Plural Floral

Florals. Florals. Florals

A girl can never give up on florals no matter what the season. Luckily  floral prints on dresses, tops, leggings, coats, etc are in vogue this fall/winter. To make it look different from your summer outfit, use darker colours like black, grey, etc. Opt for whatever colours look the best on you. If you want to accentuate a part of your body go for bigger floral prints, for the opposite pick smaller prints.

Another fall trend is dark lips. Opt for deep reds, plums and give the baby pink and peaches a skip.

You would normally pair a cute floral tube with a pair of shorts for a regular day out during the summer. To change it from a summer to a fall forward outfit, Aayushi added a black skirt with a waist belt. Select footwear of your choice  based on the level of comfort and where you're going.

Malavika on the other hand added this dark grey vest to take away from all those colours! Adding a vest is also an easy way to style your outfit and make it look put together.

.Eye Makeup.

Hey ladies! So its that time of the year when you're going out at least thrice a week and you need to look gorgeous yet different every single time. While how you dress is important, good make up can give you that extra edge over others. So we will be showing you very easy, quick and simple eye make looks to help you achieve that edge. All the looks from the series will take no more than 5 minutes. Here is the look for this week.Follow the step by step guide to achieve this look.

1. Wash your face using your favorite face wash or use your make up remover and get ride of the dirt or oil or to take off the make up that you're probably wearing during the day. (1 minute)

2. Apply an eye primer or your foundation to set a base for your eye shadow.Use your finger to evenly spread it on your eyelid and around your eye. This will also help your shadow to stay for longer and prevent it from creasing during the night. (20 seconds)

3. Take any matte\shimmer black eye shadow and using an eye shadow brush, apply it on your eye lid. Make sure you don't go too high. Just follow your natural shape. (40 seconds)

4. Next take any grey or black eyeliner (preferably with some glitter) and apply it above your lashes. Try staying as close to your lashes as possible. And once you've reached the end just slightly wing it out. Applying eyeliner puts the look together and also makes your lashes look fuller. (1 minute)

5.Next take the same eye shadow brush and dip it in that black shadow and just slightly darken the colour all over your lid.( 30 seconds)

6. Use your favorite Kohl pencil and mascara to finish the look. Also add a light colour right below your brows as a highlight. And voila!( 1 minute 30 seconds)

Black eyeshadow -ColourBar, Mascara -Revlon, Kohl pencil - Lakme, Eyeliner in Smokey Grey - Lakme, Foundation(used as base) - L'oreal

Tip :- So after you've enjoyed your night out, taking your make up off before sleeping is important. Now if you realise that you are out of your eye make up remover then dont you worry. A very good and effective alternative is oil. We suggest you always have a tiny bottle of Baby Johnson  at home! :)

So there it is, the very first look of this series. We hope you guys liked the post and it proves useful to you. For any details or queries and suggestions o requests you can either leave a comment below or email us at styledrive20@gmail.com.

Fab Plaid

Plaid is a must have for this season. Plaid shirts are all over the place. Pick one from any store near you  and pair it with shorts or jeans or even leggings. If you live in a place where the weather permits you to wear boots then, a plaid shirt with leggings and boots is our personal favourite look. Mumbai however never gives you the chance to get your boots out and hence stick to trendy sandals and flip flops.

You could also go for plaid bottoms. Take your pick from shorts or trousers or even stockings or leggings. Pair them with block colours and enjoy the attention you get!

We wore this outfit for a casual lunch to Crepe Station,Bandra. We suggest you try the lemon ice tea whenever you go :).

The Animal Print

Animal print is one of the hottest trends of fall/winter fashion. You can spot it everywhere from runways to your local streets. But its important to get it right because you don't want to be a fashion faux-pas.

Tips to keep in mind

For a casual day out

If you want to add that extra funk to your outfit, animal print is the best way to do it this season. Wear a jumpsuit or a dress and add some block coloured vests or scarves, to tone down the effect.

If you are the kinds who don't want to wear apparels with the print you could opt for accessories like bags, stoles, rings, bangles or even footwear. These prints go well with the fall colours like deep purples, browns ,black, deep reds, nudes, etc. Keep your outfit very casual and let the accessory be the main attention.

For a night out

This is the time when you can go an extra mile with your experimentation. Opt for high waisted skirts or shift dresses or jackets in animal prints. Stick to dark colours or nudes to compliment your 'featured item'. But remember the rest of your outfit has to be very simple so that you don't end up looking like a mess. You never want to turn heads for the wrong reason. Match your footwear to your outfit and voila, we have a superstar.

French-kiss

Hey girlies. Okay so winters here which means along with an awesome weather we have to deal with dry skin and chapped lips! But there is no way we are letting winter ruin this wonderful charming festive season for us.So we tried a few products and this is what we love! Bonus these products are easily available and are economically priced! So lets begin!

1)Nivea- Nivea has a range of lip balms but the one we tried was the 'nivea pinkish boost' which retails at Rs.179 approximately. Along with hours of nourishment it also gives your lips this wonderful baby pink colour which we're a sucker for.It makes your lips look glossy yet nourished and smooth looking. And and it also comes with SPF 15. Must try!

2)Biotique-Okay we don't know how many of you know of this brand but we are in love with their products.  They come in this wonderful green packaging. We love it.(its easy to spot in your clustered bag). They have a variety of lip products including lip balms,lip plumpers, tan removers etc. The 2 products that we picked were;

bio peppermint-Okay as the name suggest it smells like peppermint. The smell is addictive. Its a green colour blam which gives no colour to your lips but does add a glaze which is beautiful. Very moisturizing. And cute adorable packaging.this retails at rs.99/-.

sunflower lip balm -So this one unlike the first one gives your lips a reddish colour which looks fabulous. It's as moisturizing and gives a nice colour pay off too. But if you're someone who doesn't like colour on your lips all the time then skip this one.I personally love how this one smells too.It retails at an approximate price of Rs.135/-.
The quantity of these products is amazing, itll last you for an entire season. love their products, only complaint being that you have to use your finger every time you need to apply or re-apply. But because we love the products so much,we carry a tiny lip brush around.

3)The Body Shop- We tried their stick as well as their jar form of lip balms. We got the jar one in the 'Passion Berry' flavor.Again very cute packaging and an absolutely amazing scent. But we didn't find it as nourishing as the others. It was also a little sticky for our liking. The stick one of the other hand was more nourishing and lasted longer. It also was easy to apply and smelled like vanilla.
They retail at an approximate of Rs.250-300.These are both available in a variety of flavours and have absolutely no colour pay off. For more information check out www.thebodyshop.in or visit your nearest body shop outlet.

4)Fab India-Okay you might be surprised to see this, but fab india does have an amazing line of body and bath products. The lip balm that we picked was the one in 'plum passion'. It comes in a jar form, very similar to the body shop packaging. It's however way more nourishing and a lot less expensive. It retails at Rs.75/- at all Fab india outlets. Again its available in Mango, kiwi, dew plum and a bunch of other flavors.

5)Revlon- Revlon has come out with a new product called the shinysheers. These are available in 5 colours and the one we picked is called 'sheer dewy blossom'. Its a beautiful hot pink colour. It leaves a very natural looking pink glaze on your lips and its a lot more moisturizing then normal lipsticks. It has no smell what so ever.Love the sleek, black packaging. It retails at Rs. 525 approximately. Must try for girls who love colour like we do!

6)Mac's lip conditioner -This one is a little on the higher end.It one comes in a tube, jar and stick form. However the one we tried was in the tube form because we've heard that the tube form is better than the rest. Also the tube makes it very easy to apply. The product is a clear one. No colour at all. Very nourishing and smells like any other MAC lip product. Used this product for a while now and  absolutely love it.These are only available at MAC counters.Retails at an approximate of Rs.800/-.Worth the investment.

7)Banana Boat- This one isn't available very easily here in India. It comes in a stick form and smells amazing. No colour and easy application. The best thing is that it comes with SPF 30! this is one product that you can gift your boyfriend too.

8 )Victoria Secret -The Shinesticks by VS are absolute favourites. These are not available in India but its a must grab whenever possible. Its available in 5 colours and our favourite is 'melon out'.Its a lovely soft pink colour. Its got lovely colour pay off and it will leave your lips moisturized. It gives you a very juicy, smooth, kissable lips finish. It retails at an approximate of Rs. 300($7).

9) Vaseline- Last but not the least is the oldest form of lip balm ever known and that's vaseline, white petroleum jelly. It's the best night treatment you could give your lips. Available in different sizes, you can grab one at your local drug store. The 50gms retails at a mere Rs.28!

So these were the few products we loved out of the many more that were tried. Try these and tell us how you liked them. And if you have a favourite lip conditioner, comment below and tell us about it. :)
